A Message From Our Director
Hello there, my name is Crissy and I am the Director and Lead Teacher here at Little Valley Preschool. Becoming a mom is still to this day, one of my greatest achievements, and it is because of my love for my son and my investment in his education and overall wellbeing that Little Valley exists today.
At Little Valley, our mission consists of providing a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel safe and loved, a place like home. We aim to not just be a preschool, but a place of comfort for little learners and their parents. Our goal is for both you and your little one/s, to wake up every morning excited to walk through our doors.
We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow physically, emotionally, socially, and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.

What We Offer
Little Valley Montessori Preschool is a new Montessori Childcare and Early Learning Center located just outside the Jolly Harbor Area. We deliver a Montessori Education program for ages 2-5 that nurtures confident, courageous, and independent learners.
We offer a unique approach to learning that recognizes and places value on each child’s personal growth in their emotional, physical, and social development. Our holistic approach to education combines all the critical elements needed to provide individualized consideration to each student's needs and gives them early preparation for their journey through life.

Daily snacks and meals are included in Tuition fees. Children will be served a variety of balanced meals and snacks 3 times per day (morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack).

We will remain open all year-round Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, excluding Christmas and Bank Holidays (official school calendar provided after sign up).

The Montessori Approach
The Montessori Method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the 1900s. It is an internationally recognized method of teaching and has been proven to be a successful approach to education. A unique attribute of the Montessori Method is that the classroom is a prepared environment with curated educational materials of Montessori standards. Each material targets a specific learning goal and encourage the Montessori Curriculum which includes the learning of Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Culture.
The role of the teacher is to introduce what learning materials the children are drawn to and simply observe without interference. By doing this, the teacher promotes creativity, personal engagement, and independence. More importantly, it allows each child to be hands-on and play an active role in their learning.
